A round-toe western boot made to mark the country's 250th year, built on a leather sole rather than a moulded one.
The sole is leather, which is the traditional construction and the one that wears down to the shape of the foot that walks on it. The toe is round, the shape western boots started with, and there is a spur shelf at the heel so a spur has somewhere to seat. It is a limited edition, which is the whole point of it: this is a boot made for an occasion and dated by it.
Leather soles are quieter and more formal than the alternatives, and they want to be kept off wet ground where they can be. That is not a drawback so much as a decision about where the boot belongs — this one is for the evening, the dance floor, the anniversary itself, rather than the yard. Wear it with a trouser that breaks cleanly at the top of the foot so the round toe is not buried, and keep everything else understated.
