Who we are

Zapateria Mexico is a family shoe store specialising in Mexican-style western footwear for men.

We have sold boots the same way for years: one rack at a time, to customers who come back when the last pair wears out. The store buys from western bootmakers and sells to the people of Queens and to anyone who orders online from the same shelves.

Where to find us

Our storefront is at 88-07 Roosevelt Ave, Jackson Heights, NY 11372, and we are open Mon–Sun 10 AM–8 PM, Eastern Time.

Jackson Heights is where the store has always been. If you are nearby, come and try a pair on — fit is easier to settle standing up than by email, and there is no substitute for walking a few steps in a boot before you commit to it. If you are further away, everything on the shelf is on this site.

What we sell

Men's western boots: bullhide, cowhide, nubuck and exotic skins, in round, square, cutter and pointed toes.

The range runs from the plain everyday pair with a rubber outsole and a removable orthotic to full quill ostrich, shark, bison and deer for the occasions that call for them. Shafts run from the short end of the western range up to the tall boots that reach well up the calf, and widths are stocked narrow, standard and wide because a western boot that is the right length and the wrong width does not fit.

How orders work

Orders placed before 2PM Eastern are picked the same business day; we ship in 1–3 business days and delivery takes 4–8 business days.

Standard shipping is $8, free on orders of $70 or more, and Express is $15. If the boots are not right, you have 30 days from delivery to send them back unworn and in the original box. Questions go to support@shopzapateriamexico.com or (718) 899-1742, and we answer within 3 business days.
